Fruitful Painting Series Giclee

Fruitful Painting Series Giclee
8” x 8” High-quality giclee prints printed on gorgeous heavy velvet somerset watercolor paper.
From my “Fruitful” series. still life on patterns. Painted in acrylic on cradled wood panels.
I started these paintings at the beginning of March 2020…. and they quickly became the project that kept me busy/distracted/sane as the world started spiraling into the global pandemic. Pregnant, furloughed, and just a tiny bit anxious, I decided to paint the happiest, brightest, and hopeful scenes I could think of. I love getting lost in the detail of pattern, pairing wild colors, and playing with composition as I paint. I always listen to podcasts while I paint, but this series will always be memorable as Michael Barbaro told me what else needed to know today on the NYT The Daily Podcast. I painted each of these eight paintings with an audio input of scary, world-shaking news and tried to produce an output of the opposite. I’m glad that 2020 is over, and that these bright images remain.
